Our Urbana Classrooms:

Infants, Ones, & Twos

Teachers implement the MSDE approved Creative CurriculumⓇ for Infants, Toddlers, & Twos. We incorporate developmentally appropriate practices and gather assessment information to individualize routines and experiences.

Threes & Fours

Our preschool program is a comprehensive, research-based curriculum. Our teachers plan hands-on activities that foster children’s confidence and critical thinking skills.

Fours

In this classroom, students practice classroom skills in preparation for kindergarten as well as working on reading and math.

Kindergarten Enrichment

In this classroom, students practice classroom skills in preparation for kindergarten as well as working on reading and math skills during the five-and-a-half hour structured day.

Five's All Day & Before and After School

Our learning center provides multiple activities that include help with homework, tutoring, snack time, arts and crafts, and outdoor play.

Our Facility

Kid’s Villa Learning Center Urbana is conveniently located on Fingerboard Road near the Villages of Urbana. We are only a mile from I-270 at exit 26A, and one half mile from Rt. 355. At Kid’s Villa in Urbana, we offer a secure keypad entry system with streaming video service in all eight classrooms, divided by age group.

We offer two spacious fenced-in playgrounds that are divided by age group and are accessible directly from the classrooms. A third play area is a large fenced-in grass field where the kids play soccer, run obstacles, play games, and other sports related activities.

We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 am - 6:30 pm.

Our Teachers

Our caring teachers are what make our child care center special. Each highly-qualified teacher provides the foundation for a safe, engaging, and fun learning environment. We achieve this through a program of on-going education, training and professional development.

What are the qualifications for preschool teachers at Kids Villa Urbana?

All of our child care center teachers are certified in Early Childhood Education and have a minimum of two years of experience working in a classroom with children. In addition, all teachers have Medication Administration, American Disabilities Act training, Health and Safety, and CPR and First Aid training.

Do Kids Villa Urbana preschool teachers participate in continuing education courses and training?

Yes. Each year our learning center teachers are required to complete at least 12 hours of continuing education through professional conferences and trainings.
